RESTORATION ACTIVITIES
KBRT is committed to conducting valuable and cost effective restoration work in the Klamath Basin. KBRT believes that full recovery of the many endangered and threatened species in the Klamath Basin will only be accomplished through restoration of the basin’s watersheds.
KBRT is focused on three primary restoration activities:
1. Restoration and protection of riparian corridors. These activities include installation of riparian fencing, replanting of the riparian woody vegetation, and the development of grazing programs with adjacent landowners that protect the riparian areas.
2. Instream channel restoration. This work focuses specifically on restoration and establishment of spawning and rearing habitat for fish, as well as improved fish passage.
3. Wetlands restoration adjacent to and within streams as well as around the Klamath-Agency Lake fringe.
4. Improve fish habitat by addition of habitat
features and restoring fish passage.
5. Participating in Watershed Assessment
of the Wood River Valley.
