Riparian Fencing Projects
In the Wood River Valley, riparian fencing is generally considered the first, and most important step in stream restoration. As such, KBRT has made installation of riparian fencing one of its primary objectives. The protection of riparian corridors aids in the recovery of riparian vegetation and the restoration of natural stream morphology. The re-establishment of woody vegetation and wetlands in riparian corridors is important for maintaining cooler water temperatures, improving water quality, and providing fish habitat.
